But I have noticed that there is No province/city of the Phu Quoc mentioned in that list and also we are supposed to enter our first residence address, So what Shall I do in this case, Shall I enter the the address of Hanoi? As phu quoc is a visa free island.

I currently hold the status of dual citizenship between Philippines & US. I had recently booked my trip to Vietnam later on this year with my US passport through the airlines.
My plan was to use my Philippine passport to show at immigration upon entering Vietnam since no Visa is required. I’m wondering if there will be an issue at immigration if I present my Philippine passport but used my US passport to book the airfare? -

There is no port of entry on the e-visa, we fly auckland to hanoi so I put hanoi as port of entry on the application form. we stop first in ho chi minh and then fly to hanoi. Will it be a problem ? There is no port of entry on the e-visa we have received, but it does say hanoi on our dash board.

I am a US citizen in Vietnam on a 30-day visa I arranged via the Vietnamese eVisa site. I find that I'd like to stay in the country for longer than 30 days. I understand that I may be able to extend my existing visa for an additional 30 days through a visa agency such as yours and not have to leave the country. Can I also leave the country and immediately apply for a new eVisa? I have already been approved for a single entry visa and I am currently in Vietnam, travelling around for 2 weeks. I then fly out to Bangkok and Singapore and then I transit back through Ho Chi Minh on the 27th February 2020 before flying out to Tokyo. I will not be leaving Ho Chi Minh airport but because I will be flying in with one airline and flying out with another, I will need to go through immigration and then check back in again. Hello, I just booked flights for a trip to Vietnam in March and I'm trying to determine the correct visa/letter to get, but the fact that I'm flying directly to Phu Quoc is posing a challenge.
Here is my itinerary...
- Fly from Los Angeles to Seoul to Phu Quoc
- Stay in Phu Quoc for four days
- Fly from Phu Quoc to Saigon to Siem Reap, Cambodia (not staying in Saigon, just transferring)
- Stay in Siem Reap for two days
- Fly from Siem Reap to Saigon
- Stay in Saigon for two days
- Travel throughout Vietnam (total time from initial arrival in Phu Quoc: 20 days)
- Fly from Hanoi to Seoul to Los Angeles
Since Phu Quoc is not a major port, I cannot get a approval letter for a stamp there, but I learned that Phu Quoc has a visa exemption, so it sounds like the first leg of this trip shouldn't be an issue. Now I'm wondering the following...
- Should I get a multi-entry visa, since I will be flying into Saigon on my way to Siem Reap, then flying back from Siem Reap to Saigon?
- Should I get a single entry visa, since I will only be transferring through Saigon, so the official entry for visa purposes would be the second arrival for my stay in Saigon, after which I'll be staying in Vietnam nonstop until my final departure?

I applied for and received a single entry Visa for my flight to Vietnam on February 8th. Originally we were going to stay from Feb 8th-22nd.
It appears that my fiancee and I will need to travel to Thailand on the 12th-15th of Feb, and then return to Vietnam on the 15th until the 22nd.
Can I apply for a second single-entry visa for the 15th-22nd? If not, what are my options?

Receipt for payment of visa
On the 11th of December I left London to spend Christmas and New Year with my son in Australia. I took a two night stopover in Hanoi on way and three night stopover in Ho Chi Minh on my return. My travel agent told me that I did not require a visa as I was not staying in Vietnam for the required fifteen days. However, on my return, at check in at Sydney on 6th Jan for flight VN772 to Ho Chi Minh, I was informed that I did in fact require a visa. I was told that there was a clause stating that a visa is needed if you leave Vietnam but return within 31 days. I eventually managed to do this by paying 250 Australian Dollars in cash to a member of your staff there. By this time all check in desks had closed. The lady I gave the money to said she would sent the receipt details to Immigration and then they could send the visa to my phone via WhatsApp. While she did that, another staff member found me somewhere to check in when the visa came through on my phone. By this time my flight was already boarding, and in my panic to get my flight, I left without getting a copy of the recept for my money paid for the visa. I am now trying to make a claim on my travel company for the cost of the visa. Could you please send me a copy of my receipt, or some evidence that you actually received 250 dollars from me on that day. I have sent a WhatsApp message to the person who sent me the visa, but have had no response. I would really appreciate your help. Thank you. Marilyn Kirby. -

I will be flying from London and landing in Saigon on 21/3/20. I will spend a bout a week in HCM and then flying to Singapore on 30/3/20 and return to HCM on 3/4/20. I will spend the remainder of my holiday in Vietnam and fly back to London on the 13/4/20.
So my total trip will be 18 days and within that I will fly out to Singapore and back in to vietnam before going home.

I am arriving on Vietnam on Jan 3d and I have an E-Visa grated to me for 30 days. We are landing and flying out of ho chi Minh. We are planning to go to Cambodia (Koh Rong) for 4 days as well so we have a few questions regarding our visa on the same. We will be crossing to Cambodia over the land route for this (ha tien to sihanoukville). But we need to come back to Ho-Chi-Minh to fly back home and we are planning to come back via the Land route as well.
Since the Single entry Visa will expire when we cross over to Cambodia, can we apply for another E-Visa/Visa(Online or at the port of entry) and will this Visa be applicable to cross back over land to Vietnam? If not, what other options do we have so that we can make our Cambodia trip also happen?

Hi. I am confused? My wife and I are flying to Australia via Vietnam , and returning via Vietnam . We arrive in Hanoi on 14th Feb, then leave for Sydney on the 17th Feb. We then return via Saigon on the 18th March, and leave for UK on the 23rd March. So we are only in Vietnam for 9 days total. But the gap between leaving and re entering is 30 days. It’s confusing as to whether 30 days is enough, or must it be more than 30 days. If you take the 17th February as our leaving day, but count that, its effectively 31 days before we re enter. Obviously if we can avoid the hefty fees visas it would be good, but we do not want to be held up at the borders for any infringements. Help!!

We will visit Vietnam in a cruise ship (Cunard's Queen Mary 2*Cruise), arriving on February 16, 2020 Phu Mayt and leaving the country the following day (February 16, 2020) from Nah Trang.
The online visa application does not allow to ente the information of those seaports and we can't either obtain a visa upon arrival, because according to the information in this page it is only granted in the airports; no Vietnam Embassy in Puerto Rico either.

I noticed on the application there is a requirement to identify the entry airport but no option for entering Vietnam by cruise ship. We will be at two different ports on Jan 11 and 12, 2020. How should we complete this section of the form? Is this considered a multiple entry or single entry?

If I applied for eVisa or visa online do I have to take my pasport to the consulate office in Australia in Arcliffe to get the visa stamp on my passport. If i don't do it will have problems when arriving Vietnam at the airport?
Some people told me now a day Vietnam have the ETA like what we have it Australia for some country and it's not a must to take your passport to Arancliffe to get it stamp. We can just show visa grant letter when arriving at Vietnam airport and it should be okay.

We like a Visa for 30 Days but don't come by airplane. We think bus - and don't know where we cross the border yet.

No, mthis is not my first time, I am currently in Hanoi but my visa (1 month-single) will expire soon and I would like to go to Cambodia for one week and return to Vietnam by bus from Phnom Penh to HCM and continue travelling to the center and southern cities but this time applying for a 3 months (1 month was not enough for travel all around Vietnam)....is possible to apply for 3 months in this case (by land).

We hold a valid UK passports, with an expiry date in excess of 6 months.
We arrive at Hanoi airport at 520 am on 6th November 2019 and are taking a land/rail tour around your country.
On 17th November 2019 (12th day), we cross into Cambodia via the Mekong river.
We do not re-enter Vietnam and fly back from Siem Riep, Cambodia back to London on 21st November. However, we travel via Hanoi airport for a connecting flight only, and then onwards to London. We do not pass security again in Vietnam.

Need to update Visa but still in vietnam when I apply
I currently have a 30 day tourist Visa, but I am currently in hanoi. I will need to change this to a 3 month business visa, which means I will need to leave the country to get it. However, I need it asap so that I can return as soon as possible. Can I request/apply for a different visa while my current one is still valid so that i am not out of the country for too long? Will there be problems when leaving when i have a current visa running, and another application put through? it's important to only stay out of Vietnam no longer than 1-2 days.

My wife has also a French resident permit (10 years duration).

Ive also paid the Vietnam Fee but reading later as a UK citizen I should be 15 day exempt and not charged. I wasnt alerted to this in my application, the fee was taken?

I just read about a NEW policy for cruise passengers that allows a $5 fee if you get off the ship for an excursion on land in Vietnam. This is supposedly a return to an old policy after local travel agency complaints that a more complex and costly system is not good for the tourist industry there. Can you validate this new policy and tell me when it became effective? The article says Jan. 1 but does not say what year.
If this is valid, how does it work? Do we handle it on board or as we get off the ship? -

Hi, my e visa has taken a long time to come due to the form recording that I am female instead of male. I have chosen to Vietnam on my visa exemption. I read earlier on this page that I can extend this once in Vietnam but I have read elsewhere that you have to exit in order to come back in on the e visa.
