Te entry to Vietnam from cambodia

Apr 14, 2018
Hi,

My girlfriend and I are both visiting Vietnam in June. We have successfully got our e Visa however wanted to leave for 3 days to Cambodia and re enter. The place of re entry would be different to where we originally started our journey. Would this be an issue and do we require a separate visa for Cambodia also?

Thank you for any help.

Dear Sir,

Your current visa is multiple or single entry. If it's multiple entry visa, you can enter any arrival port.

Thanks,

Hi Anna,

Thanks for your earlier response. Unfortunately we only have a single entry e visa as we weren’t able to get one through the government website. Will this therefore be an issue?

Might it be possible that we enter Vietnam until we depart to Cambodia with our single entry E Visa and then Get a Visa on arrival as we re-enter the country since we have British and German passports and are staying less than 15 days the second time round?

Many Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Fabian

Dear Fabian,

As we see, you enter Viet nam with e-visa for the first time, therefore, you can re-enter Viet nam with visa exemption for 15 days this second one aslong as your passport is valid at least 6 months

Thanks

That’s great thank you and the fact that the dates differ on my E visa to what we originally planned, will this matter?

For example on the evisa it says we are leaving on the 23 from Ho Chi Minh but if we go to Cambodia we will be leaving around the 12th of June from Da Nang, will these be an issue?

Thank you very much for the help.

Fabian
