Swiss citizen planning to enter Vietnam by flying into Hanoi and leaving it by bus via the border in Cambodia, want to stay for about 3 weeks. Is it possible to get a evisa when i do not know the leaving date for sure/have not booked a ticket for the bus in advance? Does it work when i do not leave by plane?

Dear Nadine,
We would like to inform that Swiss passport holders can apply for a Visa on arrival (VOA) to Vietnam. Please notice that the VOA is for travelers entering Vietnam by air only and allows you to exit Vietnam either by plane, land or sea.
There is no bus ticket required, so you can leave at any time as long as your visa has not been expired.
