Hi. My wife and I are going on TUI tour from 4 Feb to 19 Feb taking in Phu Quoc, Hanoi, Laos, Cambodia and back to Phu Quoc. Can we use 15 day Vietnam visa exemption on arrival and then 30 day Phu Quoc exemption to re-enter from Cambodia?

Dear  Philip Waite,

Thanks for your concern,

For the first entry:

Vietnam offers 15-day visa exemptions with single entry for visitors from the U.K.. However, their

passports should have at least six months of validity upon the date of arrival to meet airlines’

requirements, and their arrival date is NOT within 30 days from their last exit date with visa exemption.

Otherwise, they will need a Vietnam visa.

If you stay more than 15 days please apply for Vietnam visa

For the second  entry:

In addition, foreigners who enter into national boundary gates in Vietnam (including air way and sea way) and stay in these international boundary gates to wait to transit into Phu Quoc Island can stay in Phu Quoc Island not more than 30 days without visa request. You have to make sure your flight is direct flight and none transit to get 30 days Free visa in Phu Quoc

Looks like we are doing same trip in late February
We have at least 6 months on passports, all British and never been to Asia before.
So can you confirm
We need to get 15 day visa exemption when we land on Pho from Gatwick
Then 30 day free visa when we return to Pho after flying to Cambodio, Laos and Hanoi
1st visa covers us when we land in Hanoi
