We plan to travel to Vietnam and stat three days (28th June) on the way to Britain then on the way back we will return to Vietnam on the 9th July and stay three days My husband is on a German passport with six months before it expires Does he need to have more time on his passport Have spoken to the German consulate and they say they are fully booked and we will have a difficulty renewing his passport IWould he be able to get a visa on these conditions

Thank you for your question.

We would like to inform with you that your husband does not meet conditions of Visa exemption policy of Vietnam Government. In this case, we would like to advise you to ask the airline staff whether they allow him to board the plane with the passport's validity is less than 6 months or not. If they allow him to board the plane then we are able to proceed 1 month multiple Visa type for him ($24 for processing fee).

Regards to your case, if your passport's validity is more than 6 months, you can enter Vietnam without Visa on 28th June but when you re-enter Vietnam on 9th July, you need Visa. As a result, we advise you to apply 1 month single Visa ($19) for your second trip in advance at: https://www.vietnam-evisa.org/apply-visa.html
