Passport validity and visa

Jan 08, 2016

Hello,

I have just realized I have 5 and a half months left on my UK passport, can I still get a visa for Vietnam and enter the country? It states on the uk government website that British passport holders only require one month validity after the visa expires, the Vietnamese embassy website also claims the same thing. However, I have read conflicting things on various websites that claims I need 6 months validity.

Can you help?

Dear Sir/ Madam

Thank you for your question.

We would like to confirm that we can help you get visa in this case. But it will be better if you contact to your airline to ask whether you can board the plane with current passport. Because of some cases, the passengers could not board the plane with under 6 months passport validity.

By the way, UK are exempted from visa if you stay in Vietnam less than 15 days. However, the previous visit must be far at least 30 days the next visit.

Regards,

Evisa team
