Arriving in Vietnam by Cruise Ship

Jul 29, 2015

My partner (US citizen) and I are visiting Vietnam by Cruise Ship -- 10 day cruise -- that will dock at various prts in Vietnam.
The cruise leaves from Hong Kong and first port of call is Halong Bay (Hanoi).
The visa application requiries port of entry aiport and I cannot find any information for arriving by sea.
Also do we need single or multiple entry visa. Thanks Alan

Dear Sir/Madam Alan,

Thank you for your question.

The online visa (or Visa on arrival) is just accpted if you are travelling by plane only. If you enter to Vietnam by cruise, you should apply visa at the Vietnam Embassy/Consulate Office in your country. And if you just stay at Vietnam only 10 days, we suppose that one month visa entry is enough for your family.

For further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,
