Crossing into Vietnam by bus

Oct 03, 2016

Hi, we have booked a Bamba bus pass where we will travel from Laos & cross the boarder into Vietnam by bus. How does this work with getting the visa upon entry? As all the sites just mention getting it stamped at the airport? Do they do the same thing at stamp it at the border crossing? Really confused. Thank you
Lisa

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your questions.

Firstly, We would like to confirm you that according to the Vietnam Immigration's new policy, from July 1, 2015 to June 2017, 6 countries (including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK and Belarus) no need Visa if they stay in Vietnam less than 15 days. However, the previous visit must be far at least 30 days the next visit.

Regards to your second question, if you have a plan to stay more than 15 days, you have to go to Embassy in your living country to apply for your Visa in advance because Visa on arrival is applied at the airport.

Best regards'

E-visa team.
