In December, I will be arriving at 3 ports in Vietnam on a cruise ship for day excursions, so will not stay overnight. Do I need a visa or will the cruise ship card sufficient as it is in other countries?

We would like to inform that you have to apply for a visa to enter Vietnam.
However, you cannot use the visa approval letter to get the visa stamp at the border by sea port. Because this letter is only valid at Vietnam airport and you have to enter Vietnam by plane. In case, you will travel to Vietnam by cruise ship, please contact to Vietnam Embassy in your living country to get your visa before coming to Vietnam.
