I am on a cruise that stops at Ho Chi Minh (Phu My) and then 2 days later at Hue /Danang (Chan May), do I therefore need a multi entry visa or can I be covered by the 15 day exemption. I am a British Citizen.

We would like to inform that the UK passport holders do not need a Vietnamese visa for 15 days. The passport must be valid at least 6 months from the entry date. The previous visit must be far away from the next one at least 30 days
Based on your given information, you can enter Viet nam for few days without visa
