Hello together,
I have a German passport and I am in Malaysia until January. I want to visit Vietnam for one week in October and wanted to ask you, if I need a Visa therefore.

Thank you for your question.
According to the Vietnam Immigration's new policy, Germany passport holders are exempted from visa 15 days from July 1, 2015 to June 2017, the previous visit must be far at least 30 days the next visit and your passport must be valid at least 6 months from your entry date.
As you will travel to Vietnam in October 2017 and at present we still haven't received any news from the Immigration that this visa policy is extend after Jun 30 2017 or not. Can you please want until that time to check again? If this policy is extended, you can arrive in Vietnam without visa for 1 week.
