I am a permanent resident of Australia but have a British passport as I was born in the United KIngdom. I am planning to visit Vietnam between 3 January 2016 and 15 January 2016. I would like confirmation that I do not need to get a visa for this trip (holiday only).

Dear Malcolm Poole,
You hold UK passport so you do not need visa if staying in Vietnam less than 15 days. However, if you enter Vietnam in 30 days before the next date of entry (Jan/03/2016), you have to apply visa. You can apply visa online through this link: http://www.vietnam-evisa.org/apply-visa.html
