e-visa stated point of entry mandatory?

Mar 18, 2019
Hi there,

I'm travelling to Vietnam between 8th of June - 22nd June on a Romanian passport. I was initially intending to enter Vietnam through Hanoi, so I applied and received my eVisa stating on it that Hanoi airport would be my point of entry.

However, I have since changed my travel plans and I am now planning on entering Vietnam through Ho Chi Minh city. Does that mean I would need to apply for a new eVisa which states that I will enter through Ho Chi Minh City?

Many thanks,
Stefan

Dear Stefan Bocos,

There are 2 kinds of visa:

  1. evisa which enter VIETNAM by airport, landport or seaport. With this type, you have to enter exactly arrival port which put in the application form
  2. visa on arrival is valid for all international airport such as HA NOI, HO CHIMINH, HAI PHONG, CAM RANH, DA NANG. You can change arrival port without any problems

Kindly make sure you mentioned correct visa which did apply for assistance

Kindly send us your approval letter via email visa@vietnam-evisa.org for checking, we will confrim clearly

Regards,

Celine Nguyen
