Hi,
my son is at the moment in Thailand as backpack tourist and wants to travel to Vietnam end of January. He will not take a flight but most likely travel by motorbike. Is it possible to make an online application for the visa and to present it on arrival at the Vietnam border?

Dear Wemer,
Thank you for your question.
We would like to inform that e-visa can not be use at the border, traveling by land into Vietnam. It can only be use at the airport.
If your son is travelling into Vietnam by land, please tell him to apply visa at the Vietnam embassy in Thailand or in Cambodia.
