Dear Ms Anna,
Citizens of Germany are exempted a Vietnam visa for 15 days. So for your 16 days backpacking trip in Vietnam, you have to apply a Visa.
The fee for 1 month single entry is $10 for service fee and $25 for stamping fee. In normal, it just takes 2 working days.
