Multiple entry to Vietnam within 30-days

Jun 30, 2016

Hi. I am a Philippine passport holder and have been in Vietnam several times already in the past, and in all cases, never require any visa application by virtue of ASEAN agreement by member countries. However, I have scheduled 12-16 July 2016 and 09-13 August 2016 visits to Ho Chi Minh City. And my travel agent told me of a new ruling that entries should be not within 30-days from each other. Will this new rule be applicable to me even if I will be in short visits of 5-days each travel? Thank you to enlighten me.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your question.

We would like to confirm with you that Asian countries which agreement by each others about Visa exemption by member countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore....in which their citizens are able to enter other Asian countries without Visa and does not need to wait after 30 days.

Regards to Unilateral policy from one side such as between Vietnam and Japan or Vietnam and Korea, then their citizens need to wait for 30 days to re-enter to get Visa exemption policy.

Best regards.

E-visa team.
