I am a USA citizen living in Philippines. I guess same rules apply as I have been many times in Vietnam. My fiancée is Filipina, I assume she does not need visa as Philippines is ASEAN. Also , what background color is required for the passport pics???

Dear Reto V Torriani,
US passport holders need visa to enter VIETNAM but Filipino passport holders can have 21 days visa exemption as long as her passport is valid more than 6 months
You should take picture with you face from the shoulder up with white background, no glasses, no hat
