I am a British passport holder travelling to Vietnam for 2 weeks vacation soon. I am told that as of July 1 2015 as my visit is less than 15 days and I am British I do not need a visa to enter Vietnam. Passport will be stamped at immigration. Please confirm Thank you David

We strongly confirm that British passport holders have 15 days staying Vietnam without Visa. You can enter Vietnam from the 1st of July,2015 without visa requirement. In case, you would stay longer or over 15days you must apply for Vietnam visa.
