i will be travelling from Philippines to HCM (stay 1 day for city tour) then onward to Phnom Pehn, Cambodia.

We kindly inform that Philipines can stay in Vietnam 21 days without the visa. So if you just stay in Vietnam for one day, you do not have to apply visa.
