Hello,
I do not know my exact dates of arrival to Vietnam as I will be travelling in Thailand first. I'm aware that I can put an estimated date of entry; however, I'm confused what it means by "an e-Visa to Vietnam is valid for 30 days from your proposed date of entry." Does it mean that based on my proposed date of entry, I have 30 days to enter Thailand from that time? What if I arrive sooner than the proposed date of entry?

We would like to inform that Canadian passport holder need have visa to enter Vietnam.
It is corrected that you have to estimate your arrival date to apply visa. However, it depends on type of visa you refer (01 month, 03 months, etc.) in order to apply.
If your apply visa with arrival date ( Sep/05/2018, 01 month visa type), your visa will valid from ( Sep/05/2018 to Oct/05/2018)
