Do I need to apply online for a Vietnam visa ahead of time or can this be taken care of when I arrive there?

Visa on arrival mean that you still need to apply online to get the apprpval letter in advance, then use the letter to get visa upon arrival

Thefefore, you can apply at https://www.vietnam-evisa.org/apply-visa.html to get the apprpval letter within 2 working days via your email
