I'm planning on staying in Hanoi and then leaving and coming back to Ho Chi Minh, can I still do this on a 30 day visa, thanks

Thanks for your question!
If your 30 days visa is multiple entries, you can enter Vietnam, leave and return without any problems. If it is single entry, once you leave, you are not allowed to re-enter Vietnam anymore unless applying for new visa
