I left Vietnam on the 9/4/19 and I have a flight booked from Saigon on the 10/5/19. Will I need to buy a visa at the land broader from Cambodia to re-enter Vietnam or do I not need a visa as I leave on the same day as I enter?

As you are UK passport holder, so you can use exemption for staying within 15 days without visa if entering on May 10 2019
Your passport must be valid at least 6 months.
