Hi,
I am British and planning to travel through southeast asia in December/January 2015/2016. I am planning to come to Vietnam via Laos or Cambodia by land. My questions are as follows:
1) Can I apply for my visa online or do I have to go to the embassy in the UK to get my visa?
2) From the day I have the visa in my passport, how long do I have to arrive in Vietnam.

Thank you for your question.
We would like to confirm you that Vietnam Government exempts Visas for nationals of 5 Western European countries as: France, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom and Italy from July 1st 2015 to next June 2016. They do not need visa if staying in Vietnam less than 15 days regardless of their purpose or type of visas.However, if this is not your first visit, especially in the latest 30 days, you have to apply visa. Futhermore, you can arrive in Vietnam within the time in your visa.
