Feb 03, 2016

I am currently a British citizen living in South Australia, and planning to come to Vietnam on the 11th of may and planning on staying for 3 weeks, there is a number of questions i hope you have answer for me; firstly i will be arriving by bus from Cambodia. which port is the best one to arrive to? what is the best way to apply for a visa before hand? Can i send it to the nearest Vietnam embassy? do i have to have a ticket out of Vietnam for proof? i am interested in visiting an island of Vietnam will that mean i have to apply for a multi entry? And how much AUD will the whole visa cost?

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your question.

We would like to inform with you that as a British citizen you have a right to enter and stay in Vietnam less than 15 days without getting a Visa. However, based on your itinerary, you need to apply for 1 month single type of Visa.

Furthermore, If you are dying to get a Visa On Arrival , you need to take your trip by plane to get a Visa at the airport. In your case, you will arrive by bus, then you have to go to Embassy physically to get yours in advance.

Best regards,

E-visa team.
