Visa for Vietnam

Feb 06, 2018
I understand that i do not need a visa for Vietnam if I am there for a maximum of 15 days, but do i have to show this upfront i.e. have a ticket out of Vietnam? I am going to Cambodia after Vietnam but i am flexible on the dates so i don't have a bus booked yet, but will the authorities let me into Vietnam without paying for a visa without a proof that i will be gone after 15 days? Or does it work a different way?

Dear Shaz,

For visa exemption, you just need to show your passport to get 15 days visa exemption. The Viet Nam Immigration will put visa stamp in your passport, which allow you to stay Viet Nam around 15 days from the entry date. If you overstay, the penalty fee will be compulsorily paid

Any problems, please don't hestitate to contact us at visa@vietnam-evisa.org or call us at (+84) 909 343 525

Best regards,

Helen Truong (Ms.)
