Can I as a Swiss citizen get a visa on arrival?
Because I heard that if there is a Vietnamese embassy in the country where you live
you have to get the visa there and that visa on arrival are only issued for people coming from countries with no diplomatic relations to Vietnam?

We would like to inform with you that Swiss passport holders can get Visa On Arrival and then enter legitimately Vietnam.
Regards to your concern at the second stage, Vietnam Immigration Department will issued the approval letter for countries whether these countries have diplomatic relations to Vietnam or not.
