Hi, We are visiting Vietnam in March 2017, we arrive in Ho Chi Minh at 05:50 on 09/03/17 and we leave, via Ha Noi at 01:10 on 24/03/17, technically 1hour 10 minutes into our 16th day, although we leave Hue on the 23rd arriving at Ha Noi at 22:30 and wait in the airport for 2 hours 40 minutes (taking us into our 16th day) for our flight back to UK. In this instance do we require an application for a Visa on Arrival, please?

Thank you for your question.
As you know the policy for UK citizens, you can enter Vietnam without Visa if your passport's validity is more than 6 months and you stay here less than 15 days.
In this case, if you do not have Vietnam Visa, you have to pay for penalty fee when you leave Vietnam 1 day late and the penalty fee is not cheap. we advise you to apply Visa. However, that is our recommend, you can decide by yourself!
