Good Day. I'm doing a cruise from Singapore to Hong Kong in June 2017. The ship will call at Ho Chi Minh and Nha Trang on route. Both stops will only be from the morning till the evening on different days of course. I understand from reading the advise on this page, that a traveller can get a visa stamp on arrival, provided one has an approved visa application letter + two photos + passport and so on.
Does this also apply if a traveller arrives by sea to one of the harbours of Vietnam.

Thanks for your question!
If you enter Vietnam by cruise ship, you can not get visa on arrvial. You have to apply beforehand and please go to the Vietnam Embassy in your living country to apply visa
