Currently, we can help you to get 6 months Visa maximum. With this Visa you are able to stay in Vietnam for 6 months.
If you want to stay longer, you can contact to the Vietnam Embassy to get the Temporary Resident Card. If you get married with a Vietnamese citizen, you can get 5 years Visa exemption.

Is 1 year business Visa on arrival CURRENTLY available for someone without work in Vietnam? If so, would I still have to do a border run every 3 months?
I'm retired and would like to volunteer my time with a good-will organization once I get settled in Vung Tau.
