We are flying from Seoul to Camrhan via Hanoi. We change airlines and planes in Hanoi with a layover of a few hours. Do we have to go through immigration in Hanoi or do we wait until we are in CamRhan

There is a waiting area for customers who have layover in Vietnam International Airports.
If you do feel the need to get your luggage or get out this waiting area for a short visit around the airport, you will not have to apply for a visa to go through immigration.
Please just stay in this waiting area until your flight to CamRhan to avoid any unnecessary fees.
