Do I need a VISA if I enter vietnam on 20th JUNE and leave 3rd JULY

Jun 16, 2016

Hello

I am travelling to Vietnam on the 19th June (arriving in the country 20th June) and leaving on the 3rd July 2016.

I have just noticed online that a policy has been changed :

The visa exemption for British, German, French, Spanish and Italian citizens travelling to Vietnam for a period of up to 15 days (single entry and not returning within 30 days) is applied from 01 July 2015 to 30 June 2016. (See NOTICE 1 and NOTICE 2 for details). Up to now, the Embassy has not received any information on extension of this policy.
Until further notice, visa is required for all visits for up to 15 days after 30 June 2016 by citizens of these countries. All applications sent to the Embassy are considered to be in need of visa and applicable fees are not refunded once the application is received by the Embassy.

I will be ARRIVING in the country AFTER the 30th June. Do I still need a VISA? I am staying a total of 14 days.

I look forward to hearing your response.
Regards,

Dear Fleur,

Thanks for your email.

Could you please clarify again when is your arrival date? First you informed that you will arrive on Jun 19 and then you mentioned that you arrive after Jun 30.

Please take note that, if you arrive Vietnam before Jun 30 2016, you have 15 days Vietnam Visa exemption. If you enter the country after Jun 30, you are required Visa.

Feel free to contact us if you have any question.

Thanks,

Evisa Team
