enter vietnam

Jul 03, 2017
Dear Lucy,

I am a bit confused. I am german with a german passport valid for 1 year and will travel to Vietnam in September 2017 for 14 days for my first time. Do I have to fill out visa on arrival papers (pre register etc.) and bring 2 passport fotos? Or can I just enter with my passport?

Best regards
Michael

Dear Mr Michael,

Thank you for your question,

In return to your concern, firstly  we would like to confirm you that according to the Vietnam Immigration's new policy, from July 1, 2015 to 30 Jun 2018, 12 countries (including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK and Belarus, Norway, Finland and Sweden, South korea, Japan, Denmark) no need Visa if they stay in Vietnam less than 15 days. However, the previous visit must be far at least 30 days the next visit and your passport's validity must be more than 6 months.

Secondly, You just need to bring your passport and fill into the entry and exit form at the airport, photos is not required in this case and there is no fee if you enter with 15 day free Visa.

Best regards

Hanah
