I am a U.S. citizen flying into Hanoi for 17 days of north to south travel. At the end, I plan to fly from Ho Chi Minh city to Siem Reap Cambodia for 5 days of travel. I will need to fly back to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam in order to catch my flight back to the USA. Will I need a multiple Visa? My total travel days being 28 days...do you suggest a 3 month visa as well?

Referring to your itinerary, one month multiple entry visa is fine. If your arrival and exit date is over 30 days apart, you need a 3 month visa.
