Hello, I am in the similar situation with my visa renewal, I am currently on a two week(visa) for German passport. I would like to extend my visa by two weeks, however I understand that it is a holiday right now and opens back on the 21st. My problem is my visa expires on the 23rd of February 2018. I am currently in Da Lat is there anyway to expend my visa in Da Lat or do I need to go to a bigger city, or can I simply do it online through the email you said. Thank you very much for your help.

We cannot help you extend your visa if you are not in Ho Chi Minh city. By the way, you expried day is so closed. So in this case, you should leave Vietnam and apply for a new visa on arrival.
