I will be arriving Vietnam(Hanoi) on January 1, 2017 for 5 days vacation. Do I just apply one month visa, correct. Since today is December 2, 2016, one month visa start on the days of first arrival, not the days the visa is granted, correct? Thanks so much.

Thanks for your question.
We would like to confirm that your visa will be valid from the arrival date not the date of visa granted. Please note that from Aug 25 2016, The Immigration Department will approve 1 type of visa - One Year Multiple Entries Visa for US citizens only. However, you can stay 90 days maximum per visit for Tourist purpose and 1 year for business purpose.
The fee is 30 USD/pax for Tourist and 350 USD/pax for business
The stamping fee: 135 USD/pax
