Visa

Dec 01, 2016

Hello,

My husband and I will be traveling to Vietnam from Thailand in January, we will first spend a couple of days in Thailand, then to Vietnam for only 5 or 6 days, Cambodia and then back to Thailand. We are both United States citizens, do we require a Visa to enter Vietnam from Thailand? If so, do you know the estimated cost for each Visa?

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your question.

First of all, we would like to confirm with you that American still need Visa to enter Vietnam.

Secondly, we would like to inform with you he new policy has been promulgated from Government since 25th Aug 2016 :"To create relations of bilateral cooperation between the US Government and Vietnam, content is the Government of Vietnam Visa valid for up to One Year Multiple Entry Visa for US citizens entering Vietnam (90 days maximum per visit) for tourism purposes, seminars, conferences, private business or working with agencies in business office in Vietnam and meet the other conditions for entry into Vietnam under Vietnam law."

Therefore, the fee for this visa type is $30 per person (excluding the stamping fee $135 per person).

Best regards.
