My wife and I are planning to travel throughout SouthEast Asia including Vietnam in Jan - April 2017. Do we need proof of a return air ticket to enter Vietnam? How much does a visa on demand cost? Can we get a multiply entry visa to arrive in Ho Chi Min City January 1st and depart from Hanoi on April 15th?

We would like to confirm that you do not need to submit your return ticket to get Vietnam Visa. You can get Visa on arrival easily by applying on our website https://www.vietnam-evisa.org/apply-visa.html. After receiving your application, we will send you the Visa approval letter via email. The service fee for 1 month single entry Tourist Visa is 19USD/person.
In case, you arrive Hochiminh airport, then you leave Vietnam through Hanoi airport, you just need to get single entry Visa, as long as you do not reentry Vietnam.
