Normally, UK do not need Vietnam visa for 15 days, but the previous visit must be far 30 days the next visit.

But in your case, as you will stay in Vietnma for 30 days, you need to apply visa. And if you just enter Vietnam one time (do not leave and re-enter during your stay) and stay 30 days, you can apply for 1 month single tourist visa. However, please be noted that we ONLY provide visa on arrival which you have to enter Vietnam by airplane to get your visa at Vietnam airport. So as you will travel to Vietnam by land, you should go to Vietnam Embassy in your living country to get your visa before coming to Vietnam.
