My wife and I are travelling from Sydney to Paris on Air Vietnam. We arrive in Ho Chi Minh on July 12th and fly out on July 13th having stayed in an hotel near the airport overnight. On our return we arrive in Ho Chi Minh on August 12th in the early morning and leave late on the same day. We want to rest in an airport hotel. As this is the 30th day after we leave do we need a multiple re-entry visa to leave the airport?

Dear Andrew Clarke,
In the airport, there is a waiting area for transit tourists. Unless you feel the need to take your luggage or get out of the airport, you will not need a Visa.
In your case, you should have a multiple entry visa as you need to enter Vietnam twice and get out of the airport.
