Visa exemption

May 10, 2016

I read online that for visa exemption to apply you need to obtain a visa exemption certificate from the Vietnamese embassy locally. I'm from the uk and I don't want to either be refused entry to the flight or indeed upon arrival in vietnam without a certificate. My trip is less than 15 days. Do I need to obtain a certificate beforehand or upon arrival or indeed do anything for the exemption to apply for uk citizens

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thanks for your email.

According to Vietnamese Immigration Regulations, from July 1st 2015 to June 30th 2016, UK passport holders have 15 days Vietnam Visa exemption, if they did not enter the country within last 30 days. If you meet these needs, you just need to bring your passport and arrive Vietnam. You do not need to apply for Visa exemption.

Feel free to contact us if you have any question.

Thanks,

Evisa Team
