Please be noted that from July 1, 2015 to June 2017, UK do not need to get visa if staying in Vietnam less than 15 days, but the previous visit must be far at least 30 days the next visit and your passport must be valid at least 6 months from your entry date.

Since you will arrive in Vietnam in August, you should wait until Jun 30 2017 to check again whether this visa exemption policy is exented or not. If yes, you can enter Vietnam without visa for 15 days in August and you can leave Vietnam in the 15th day normally.
