Today I heard a rumor that the visa fees and requirements have changed back for US citizens. Is it true that we can go back to getting different visas other than a one-year multiple entry visa?

Effective December 15th 2016, we are excited to announce that there is a small change for applying visa of US Citizen.
To attract Tourist and Business Travelers coming from the United States, Vietnam Immigration will issue a wide range of visa type, such as:
- One Month Single/Multiple Entries
- Three Months Single/Multiple Entries
- Six Months Multiple Entries, AND
- One Year Multiple Entries
From now onward, you will have more option to choose for Vietnam visa and do not have to pay the high fee if you just wish to travel to Vietnam in a short stay.
