The Vietnamese government issued Directive 01/CT-TTg calling for stricter border control.

On January 5, the Vietnamese government issued Directive 01/CT-TTg calling for stricter border control, quarantine surveillance, and more drastic COVID-19 prevention measures.  The Directive also discouraged large gatherings, events, and festivals; requested that high-risk venues, including supermarkets, transport stations, airports, schools, hospitals, and factories, etc., be monitored more closely; and requested that individuals who refuse to wear face masks in public places be given strict penalties.

Most COVID-19 patients in Vietnam have recovered and been released from the hospital.  Slightly more than 100 individuals are currently being isolated for treatment.  Vietnam has not had any new community transmission cases since December 2, 2020; all recently confirmed cases involve people who arrived in Vietnam with COVID-19 and were sent directly to quarantine and isolated for treatment.

Any individuals experiencing symptoms of the COVID-19 virus — fever, cough and difficulty breathing — or those concerned they may have been exposed to the virus should call Vietnam’s health hotline right away: 19009095 (Press 1 for English)

If you plan to travel internationally, you will need to get tested no more than 3 days before you travel by air into Vietnam and show your negative result by using the real-time PCR technique to the airline before you board your flight. The tests must be done at testing centers approved by their government or at test centers approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Due to Covid-19, the Vietnamese government suspends entry into Vietnam to tourists. The Vietnamese government only allows experts, investors, workers and their families to enter Vietnam by applying for the 3 months single entry business visa. Foreign employees that want to enter Vietnam should ensure they have a sponsor who can assist the employee in obtaining the necessary paperwork and communicate any changes to them.

Entering Vietnam during Covid-19, please check Visa procedure or contacting us ỏ further support.

Have a nice trip in Vietnam!
