Is a single entry or multiple entries better for my purpose?

Posted by Vietnam-Evisa.Org on Sep 21, 2013

- Please take a look at the information of single and multiple entries visa to select which visa type is better for your purpose:

  • A single entry visa allows you enter/ exit Vietnam one time or it is also called visa with single use. Once your single entry visa used, you can not enter again Vietnam with this used visa. You must apply for the new one if you want to come back Vietnam again. For example, with 1 month single entry visa, you can enter Vietnam to stay for less than 30 days. You can not re-enter Vietnam if you exit Vietnam after 10 days staying, even your visa valid for 30days.
  • A multiple entries visa allows you enter / exit Vietnam unlimited time as long as your visa still valid. Your multiple entries visa must be picked at the airport when you arrive. After getting your multiple entries visa at the airport, you can exit & re-enter Vietnam at any ports you want.

After that, I will go back to Ho Chi Minh on february 10th and I will be there for 4 days before i go back to my country.

    Dear,
    I am Czech passport holder.
I will arrive to Hanoj on January the 10th 2019 and than wait cca 5 hours for another flight to Bangkok - does it mean, that I enter Vietnam or not? I will go back to Hanoj before April the 7th (on this date I will fly from Hanoj to Europe - back home) and before going home I would like to leave the airport and see Vietnam as well. My question is, if it is necessary to get multiple visa or is it enough to get single entry visa?

Second question is: I will travel with my family (2 adults and 2 kids - 3 and 2 years old). Do we get the same approval letter or everyone from us will get extra (another) letter? And is there the same fees for adults and kids?
Our passports validity is more than 6 months.
Looking forward to hear from you and thank you very much for your help.
    Sincerely
    Ima

    Dear Ima,

First, you need to apply multiple entry visa to enter/exit Vietnam many times during the visa period.

Second, this is the same fee for adults and kids. You can pay 10 USD for private letter with your family's name on it.

    Thank you

    Ashley

    Oct 08, 2018

If I plan to come to Vietnam 2 times in 30 days , do I need to get any additional visa on my 2nd visit within 30 days

    Dear BW,

For SINGAPORE passport holders, you have 30 days visa exemption as long as your passport is valid more than 6 month

Once you leave VIETNAM and re enter, you will get same visa exemption if your passport is still valid for 6 month

    Regards,

    Celine Nguyen

    VISA type

    Apr 03, 2017
    Hello,

I am arriving at SGN for a four day stay before leaving to visit Cambodia and Thailand. I return to SGN and will spend one night in the city before leaving for the USA. Can I apply for two single entry visas? I would do one now while I am in the USA for the initial stay. Then while I am in Cambodia and Thailand I would apply for another single entry visa.

    Thank you!
