Vietnam: A Top Destination for Repeat Visitors

According to Agoda, an online travel platform, Vietnam has been ranked third among Asian countries with the highest number of repeat visitors. The country trails only Japan and Thailand in this category, with Malaysia and Indonesia rounding out the top five. This ranking is based on Agoda's booking data from the first half of the year.

The coastal city of Da Nang has also made its debut on the list of Asia's top 10 most revisited cities. This marks a significant achievement, as no Vietnamese city was on the list in the previous year. This reflects Vietnam's growing appeal and the diverse travel experiences it offers to tourists.

Within Vietnam, the five most popular destinations for returning tourists are:

• Nha Trang

• Ho Chi Minh City

• Hanoi

• Phu Quoc Island

Vu Ngoc Lam, the country director at Agoda, highlighted that Vietnam's "vibrant urban hubs to stunning coastal escapes" are key reasons why visitors keep coming back.

The article also notes that Vietnam welcomed 12.2 million foreign visitors in the first seven months of this year, a 23% year-on-year increase. The top source markets for tourism to Vietnam are Mainland China, South Korea, Taiwan, the U.S., and Japan.
