Vietnamese destinations won the 2023 World Travel Award

Vietnam has won big at the 2023 World Travel Awards (WTA), taking home a total of 20 awards in various categories. This is the fifth time that Vietnam has been named Asia's Leading Destination, and the second consecutive year that it has won the award.

There are many reasons why Vietnam is becoming such a popular tourist destination. The country has a rich history and culture, stunning natural beauty, and a diverse range of experiences to offer visitors. From the bustling streets of Hanoi to the pristine beaches of Phu Quoc, Vietnam has something to offer everyone. 

On 6th September, the World Travel Awards Asia & Oceania Gala Ceremony 2023 took place in Ho Chi Minh city. Vietnam tourism is announced with 54 titles of Asia’s Leading awards 2023.

Accordingly, Vietnam has been continuously acclaimed as Asia's Leading Destination and Asia's Leading Nature Destination for 2023.

Ha Noi, the capital city of Vietnam, is honoured to be crowned as Asia’s Leading City Break Destination 2023 and Asia's Leading City Destination 2023. Ha Noi Department of Tourism achieves Asia's Leading City Tourist Board 2023. 

Ho Chi Minh City, titled Asia's Leading Festival & Event Destination 2023 and Asia's Leading Business Travel Destination 2023.

 

Hoi An Ancient Town achieves Asia's Leading Cultural City Destination 2023.

 

Moc Chau, a mountainous district of the northern province of Son La, for the second time in a row, received the Vietnam’s Leading Natural Destination and Asia’s Leading Natural Destination titles.

 

Ha Nam Province earned Vietnam’s Leading Cultural Destination and Asia’s Leading Regional Cultural Destination awards.

 

Phu Quoc pearl island in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang, Hoi An ancient town in the central coastal province of Quang Nam and the northern province of Ha Giang was recognized as Asia’s Leading Luxury Island Destination, Asia's Leading Cultural City Destination and Asia's Leading Emerging Tourism Destination respectively.
