Me and my partner are currently in Thailand and plan to travel to Laos and Cambodia in the coming weeks. We had planned to then travel to Ho Chi Minh City from Phnom Penh towards the end of April, however we have heard that the visa waiver program for UK citizens has been suspended and have also heard that you are no longer processing e-visa applications due to the corona virus. Could you advise us on whether we are still able to get an e-visa for Travel to Vietnam or whether this is not possible despite having been in South East Asia since the beginning of March?
Thank you
we booked tickets PHUKET-DA NANG on 7th April and stay for 6 days. how we will apply for visa??
I got evisa issued before Vietnam stopped issuing visas because of corona issue. My visa is dated for entry from 04/03/20 to 04/04/20.

I am currently traveling Japan but want to spend time in Vietnam soon. the flights I have set are slightly longer than 30 days. That being may 11th landing in Hanoi and June 14th leaving from ho chi mihn city. what kind of visa will I need to apply for? is there a chance of being denied a visa from corona virus concerns? also in application forms I have seen residence while in Vietnam. if I want to travel the ho chi mihn trail my address will change numerous times, how do I fill this part out?

I would like to find out if I can apply for an e-visa or visa extension. I am currently in Vietnam with a valid passport.
I have a 3 month multiple entry visa for Vietnam that expires on 6 May 2020. I woud like to apply to stay for another 3 months if at all possible. My life partner works for Jetstar Pacific, so he is here on a work permit. I stay with him and at the moment with the COVID-19 situation, I would like to avoid any type of travel as far as possible and rather stay inside the country for another few months. Can you please give us guidance as to what we are able to do about the situation?
thank you
The question is can I still get a Visa approval letter. I need one as the Vietnam Embassy in London won’t issue a visa without the letter.
I await your reply. Thank you.

Could you please advise us the best way to proceed.
Thank you.
My family and I are British, but we live in Singapore and have not been to the UK since November last year. How should we get a visa to visit Vietnam in April?
Thanks,
Jake
I am a Nepalese citizen, currently living in India. Based on my current knowledge many of tourist sites in Vietnam like the Halong bay has been closed due to Coronavirus. I was planning to visit Vietnam during 1st week of April and wanted to know there are any travel restriction/visa rejection for citizens from Nepal/India. Please note, I have already made my flight bookings and wanted to know if its possible to cancel my trip.
I am traverling to Thailand for a few days from the UK then on to Vietnam for 7 days do I need a visa for this as I read that you don't need one for under 15 days stay, and also if it is okay to turn up without a visa being from the UK with the outbreak of the coronavirus
With the new régulations in force we have to make visa urgently.
How long can it take to get a visa? Will we have it in time for our departure?
thank you
I have an E Visa
I have just read the following which was published in the UK March 10
"Suspension of visa waiver for UK citizens; The Vietnamese government has suspended the visa waiver programme for UK citizens with effect of 12 March 2020"
I have UK passport
Am I OK to fly on April 20 as I have an E Visa ?????
Many thanks
Are visas on arrival still granted to tourists travelling from the UK ? The UK Vietnamese embassy has stopped issuing them.
Thank you
Thank you
I heard news regarding to Covid - 19 that the government suspended visa for UK citizens.

Dear Elaine pendlebury,
Vietnam offers 15-day visa exemptions with single entry for visitors from the U.K.. However, their
passports should have at least six months of validity upon the date of arrival to meet airlines’
requirements, and their arrival date is NOT within 30 days from their last exit date with visa exemption.
Otherwise, they will need a Vietnam visa.
If you stay more than 15 days please apply for Vietnam visa
Best Regards.
Stepfano Tran (Mr. )

I've been in Taiwan since December 14th and i havent been in Italy for more then 4 years, can you manage to get me a 1 month multiple entry visa for Vietnam?
Cheers
We have a trip booked to Vietnam, leaving tomorrow morning.
Since my boyfriend is from the UK and that our trip was not supposed to last more than 16 day he didn't need any pre approval letter.
Our flights just has been changed, meaning we are staying 2 days more in Vietnam.
Would it be possible to obtain the letter by tomorrow morning?
Thank you

After receipt of approval letter, do I need to take with me paper photos upon arrival in Phu Quoc airport to get stamp for Vietnam visa?
I have an upcoming trip planned on March 14th, we are two Italian nationals, living and working since several years in Zurich, Switzerland. We never left the canton of Zurich since the beginning of the year.
Yesterday I read that Italian citizens are not allowed to enter Vietnam. Is that correct? Where can I have precise information (better when written) regarding this situation?
Will it be possible with an e-Visa plus some medical checks to enter the country and enjoy our holidays?
Thanks for your attention
Best regards,
Andrea
Is it still possible to go to Vietnam without a visa if you have a French passport and you less than 15 days ?
Thank you and have a nice day
Dear Bjoern,
Thanks for your question!
German passport holders do not need visa if staying in Vietnam within 15 days. However, the previous visit must be far from the next one at least 30 days. In addition, the passport must be valid at least 6 months
For Hungary citizens, they need visa to enter Vietnam. Could you please give us the name of entry port?
Best regards,

Dear Michael,

If you want to get 1 year visa, after leaving Vietnam, please apply new visa at this link to reenter: https://www.vietnam-evisa.org/apply-visa.html

Dear Shiva,
Thanks for your question!
The approval letter is valid at Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi and Danang airport so even it mentioned Hanoi airport, you can get visa in Ho Chi Minh as normal
In addition, normal letter has many applicants and it is the format of the Vietnam Immigration. You just need to check your information if it is correct and ignore the others
Best regards,
Nina Huynh
do we need visa as german entering Vietnam by boat? (for 7 days)
What’s about people from Hungary living in Germany?
I have a Visa I just obtained and I can't read it to understand if it is for entrance in Ho Chi Minh City. I'm fairly certain I picked Ho Chi Minh but it looks like it says Hanoi a couple different places. It is for 3 different people. I want to make sure I don't have a problem.
When we apply for the E Visa online we should say through which port we want to enter and exit. So, if we change our itinerary and want to enter or exit through a different land port, can we pass?
Thank you very much
I am going to Ho Chi Minh on the 8th March for a 13 nights stay. I have read various information that tells me I don’t require a visa. Can you please confirm this is correct.
I spent 15 days in Vietnam, from 27th of January to 10 of February. I am French, so I didn't need visa.
After that, I spent 27 days in Phillipines.
I will come back in Vietnam on 7th of March to 16th of March.
Do I need a visa? Which one?
Thank you for answer.
Regards
Vario daniele

Is visa on arrival available for Nepali Citizen?
For E-VISA I applied through the link you have provided, I am worried if the airline's officer won't allow me to boarding at the airport. Will there be any problem with E-VISA while boarding?
I am Portuguese and I am travelling with 2 polish girls, right now we are in Laos. We dont know how to get visa to Vietnam.
Is it possible to do in the border or we can do online e-Visa?
I have already been approved for a single entry visa and I am currently in Vietnam, travelling around for 2 weeks. I then fly out to Bangkok and Singapore and then I transit back through Ho Chi Minh on the 27th February 2020 before flying out to Tokyo. I will not be leaving Ho Chi Minh airport but because I will be flying in with one airline and flying out with another, I will need to go through immigration and then check back in again. Do I need to apply for another visa or should my already approved single entry visa be okay? It is valid till the 4th March 2020. Otherwise please advise if I am require to apply for another single or multi entry visa?
Thank you,
Vanessa

I would like to apply to a e-visa to come back to Vietnam as the 15 days allowed with my French passport expired. I have been to Hong Kong for four days and left on January 26th, and plan to come back in Vietnam on February 10th (so 12 days apart). I would like to know if there are any restrictions in this case to obtain a visa and re-enter the Vietnamese territory (vis-a-vis the coronavirus outbreak)?
Thank you for your help,
Best,
Mahaut Stefani
I'm traveling to Vietnam for 2 weeks (will get VOA), then I leave to Japan for 10 days and come back to Vietnam just for a connection flight (5 hours on Ha Noi Airport) with final destination to New Delhi, India. My question is, do I need a visa again for the second time I enter the country, even though is just a connection flight and I don't leave the airport?
Thanks!
We applied for Vietnam E-Visa’s for our family. We have decided to postpone our trip because of the coronavirus.
Do I need to pay for new E-Visa’s when we decide to travel? Or can we use the E-Visa’s that we already paid for and change to the proper dates when we are ready to travel and know them?
Thank you,
Quoc

I'd like to ask you about the visa a need as spanish citizen to go for 18 days to Vietnam as turist, my idea is to be there in February 2020.

Myself and my girlfriend made visa applications on the 26th of Jan.
However we fly tomorrow (1st Feb) and our visa application still says in process. Are the applications likely to be processed before tomorrow afternoon? If not what are our options?
I have an Irish passport, she has a Uk passport
I am Hong Kong resident, hold Hong Kong SAR passport. I would like to apply visa to Vietnam for business meeting, but heard the application is now banned, correct ?
could you please let me know if Austrian citizens can get a visa on arrival coming by bus from Cambodia. If yes, how much would it cost ?
Thank you very much indeed
Irina
Here is my itinerary...
- Fly from Los Angeles to Seoul to Phu Quoc
- Stay in Phu Quoc for four days
- Fly from Phu Quoc to Saigon to Siem Reap, Cambodia (not staying in Saigon, just transferring)
- Stay in Siem Reap for two days
- Fly from Siem Reap to Saigon
- Stay in Saigon for two days
- Travel throughout Vietnam (total time from initial arrival in Phu Quoc: 20 days)
- Fly from Hanoi to Seoul to Los Angeles
Since Phu Quoc is not a major port, I cannot get a approval letter for a stamp there, but I learned that Phu Quoc has a visa exemption, so it sounds like the first leg of this trip shouldn't be an issue. Now I'm wondering the following...
- Should I get a multi-entry visa, since I will be flying into Saigon on my way to Siem Reap, then flying back from Siem Reap to Saigon?
- Should I get a single entry visa, since I will only be transferring through Saigon, so the official entry for visa purposes would be the second arrival for my stay in Saigon, after which I'll be staying in Vietnam nonstop until my final departure?
I didn't realize this would be so confusing when I originally purchased the tickets, so I sincerely appreciate your help!
Thank you!
Then flying to Hanoi
We then go to Laos and Cambodia
We then return to Phu Qhoc for a few days before going back to th Uk
Total of 14 days
Can you confirm the visas I need
Many thanks
I will get there by bus! thats not an option to answer.
What do i do?
Thank you !
I need subjected visa. what are the requirements.
Warmest regards,
Rizwan
We planned to go from Cambodia to Vietnam tomorrow crossing the land border close to Ha Tien. We applied for the e-visa on 25th of Jan but so far got no response. I realised that Vietnamese got like 4 extra holidays due to Vietnamese New Year. That may be the cause? Is there anyway to go to Phu Quoc tomorrow on the Land way, e.g. getting Visa exemption as we are German and the tourist visa via e-Visa later?
Thanks for helping.
thank yoH
I applied for and received a single entry Visa for my flight to Vietnam on February 8th. Originally we were going to stay from Feb 8th-22nd.
It appears that my fiancee and I will need to travel to Thailand on the 12th-15th of Feb, and then return to Vietnam on the 15th until the 22nd.
Can I apply for a second single-entry visa for the 15th-22nd? If not, what are my options?
Thanks!

I will be arriving at Hanoi on January 17th of this year. I have been trying to apply for a visa but I have not been able to get through. Can you please direct me as to what I need to do to get the e-visa application please.
Thanks.
I am currently in Hanoi and my visa expires in 2 weeks (1 month single entry Visa On Arrival) and I would like to come back to Vietnam for around 25 more days. I plan to travel to Thailand and re-enter Vietnam by plane.
My question, am I able to apply for an e-visa while currently in Vietnam? If I can get it processed and approved before I leave the country this will help a lot with my travel plans. I have a British passport and meet all the other criteria for e-visa but it's unclear if I can apply and be approved while already in Vietnam.
Thanks

I'm from Hong Kong and holding a British Citizen Passport and plan to stay in Vietnam for 5 days. Do I require to apply for any visa to enter?
Thanks.
I wonder if I would request visa on arrival on Jan 23, 2020, and the arrival date is on Jan. 24-25, 2020.
Could I get an invitation letter for the visa on arrival with Jan.24-25?
I can get the passport on Jan.22 and would like to travel on Jan.24-25.
I wonder if there will be working days as it is Tet Holiday.
I will be travelling to Phu Quoc next month with my wife and son. But when i tried to apply the visa for Phu Quoc, I could not find the the option of Phu Quoc airport as an entry point to Vietnam on your website. We will be staying there for 2 days and then we will be travelling to main Land Vietnam(Hanoi and Ho Chi Min City) for 3 days. I currently live in China and work in China. But I am an Indian. I will be flying from Hong Kong international airport. Can you please guide me. Which Visa shall i apply for Phu Quoc and then from Phu Quoc to Hanoi ? and Where can I apply that ?
Thank you,
Manjeet
Dear Denis,
Thanks for your question!
If you use UK passport to enter Vietnam, you do not need visa if staying in Vietnam within 15 days. However, the previous visit must be far from the next one at least 30 days. In addition, the passport must be valid at least 6 months
For Australian, you have to apply Vietam before your departure. You can apply visa on arrival at this link: https://www.vietnam-evisa.org/apply-visa.html
Best regards,
Nina Huynh
Dear Joy,
Thanks for your question!
- E-visa: you will get E-visa letter to enter Vietnam by plane, cruise, land, etc. but it is just for 1 month single tourist/business visa. Once you applied E-visa, you will not have to pay anything upon arrival. You can apply it at this link: https://www.vietnam-evisa.org/apply-e-visa.html
- If you want to stay more than 1 month, you can apply for visa on arrival to get the approval letter. With this type of visa, you just pay service fee online to process visa. Upon arrival, you must pay stamping fee in cash to get visa stamp to enter Vietnam. And visa on arrival is valid for plane only. Please apply visa at this link: https://www.vietnam-evisa.org/apply-visa.html
Best regards,
Nina Huynh

I am arriving on Vietnam on Jan 3d and I have an E-Visa grated to me for 30 days. We are landing and flying out of ho chi Minh. We are planning to go to Cambodia (Koh Rong) for 4 days as well so we have a few questions regarding our visa on the same. We will be crossing to Cambodia over the land route for this (ha tien to sihanoukville). But we need to come back to Ho-Chi-Minh to fly back home and we are planning to come back via the Land route as well.
Since the Single entry Visa will expire when we cross over to Cambodia, can we apply for another E-Visa/Visa(Online or at the port of entry) and will this Visa be applicable to cross back over land to Vietnam? If not, what other options do we have so that we can make our Cambodia trip also happen?
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

- For E-visa, when you arrive in Vietnam airport, you just need to submit the letter and passport to get visa stamp to enter Vietnam, no need to scan passport either photos
- For visa on arrival, you present all things in the prepared package (passport, visa approval letter, 2 passport sized photos 4x6cm, the entry-and-exit form and stamping fee) to the Immigration officer to get your visa stamped
Best regards,
Nina Huynh

Dear Jan,
Thanks for your question,
We would like to inform that all visitors from foreign countries do not need a Vietnam visa if they stay in Phu Quoc for no more than 30 days.
Requirements for Phu Quoc Visa Exemption: To be eligible for Phu Quoc 30 day visa waiver, visitors must meet the requirements below:
+ Your passport must be valid for 6 months since your arrival date or else you should renew it prior to taking the trip to Phu Quoc.
+ You must fly from an international country to Phu Quoc via the Phu Quoc International Airport. This applies to direct, indirect and layover flights, where your final destination along the route is Phu Quoc. The onward destination could be any country, except Vietnam.
+ Your stay on the island must be less than 30 days. You must provide proof (return airplane ticket, cruise ship departure date, etc.) that you will be leaving Phu Quoc Island within 30 days in order to be granted a “Visa Exemption Stamp”.
+ You travel to Phu Quoc by sea (ship or cruise) or by air (airplane), not by land border.
In case you plan to visit other destinations in Vietnam after Phu Quoc or want to stay for more than 30 days, getting a Vietnam visa is a must.

For instance, if you apply for the tourist visa with 1 month single entry, the service fee is 12USD/pax (paid online) and the stamping fee is 25USD/pax (paid in cash at the arrival airport).
Thanks

DEAR Penny Haydon,
Thanks for your concern,
Vietnam offers 15-day visa exemptions with single entry for visitors from the U.K..
You have to make sure that you will get 15 days visa exemptions at Phu quoc airport so that you can arrive in ho chi minh
